Terms and Conditions
Fee Structure: Permanent Positions
Scientific & Technical Recruitment (STR) would undertake assignments on the fee basis outlined in our Terms and Conditions of Contract and the associated documentation. Fees are calculated on the following basis:
12½% of annual salary (salary $49,999 or less per annum)
15 % of annual salary (all Sales & Marketing Positions)
15 % of annual salary (salary $50,000 or greater per annum)
GST charges are additional. Fees are based on annual salary and bonus/commission payments (where they form part of the salary offer) and DO NOT include any non-taxable benefits such as allowances, subsidised loans/mortgages, company cars, superannuation, health insurance and bonus or commission payments etc which may apply. Fees are payable on successful completion of an assignment.
Fee Structure: Temping Positions
Fees are charged at a flat rate of $6.00 per hour. The employee remains in the employ of STR, and is paid weekly at the agreed upon hourly rate upon STR receiving a signed time sheet. The client is then charged this wage plus a flat rate of $6.00 per hour worked, and for Public Holidays that would otherwise have been worked, plus applicable holiday pay, plus GST. This fee covers all employee expenses. Fees are charged until such time as the temping position is terminated. Should the temporary position become permanent, STR will charge the client the usual fee for Permanent Positions as above.
Fee Structure: Contract Positions
As for Permanent Positions above, based on the length of the contract, with a minimum charge of a 6-month fee. For example, a one to 6-month contract for a Sales Representative would result in a fee of 7.5% of the annual salary. Should the contracted position become permanent, or be extended, STR will charge the client the residue of the usual fee for a Permanent Position.
Invoicing
Invoicing is done on the start date, and terms of trade are payment within 14 days of invoice. All fees and charges will have GST added on invoice. The fee applies if any candidate referred by STR, verbally or in writing, is employed by the Client or an associated company within 6 months of the introduction.
Additional Costs
The costs of display advertisements prepared and placed on behalf of the Client are invoiced at cost plus GST. Invoicing will be immediately on completion of the advertising cycle. Any other approved expenses incurred by STR will be charged at cost. These may include internet advertising, travel, accommodation, specific aptitude or comprehensive psychological testing.
Where the Client briefs STR to provide recruitment services and an assignment/job vacancy has been advertised and/or shortlisted to the Client and is subsequently withdrawn, substantially altered, deferred, filled by the Client or by alternative means, or the brief is changed, a service fee equal to one third (1/3) of the placement fee that would have been applicable may be charged to cover administration costs
Guarantee
Scientific & Technical Recruitment Limited guarantees that we will work with you, our Client, to replace free of charge, any candidate who leaves or has his/her position terminated within the guarantee period provided in the Terms and Conditions of Contract, normally 3 months, (not including redundancy, relocation or changed job description). In the unlikely event that we cannot find a suitable replacement the fee will be completely refunded.
