Every member of the Scientific and Technical Recruitment team has had hands-on experience working in technical and scientific industries. We know our clients' businesses and their business needs. We have also been job candidates ourselves, and understand the types of roles most suited to people looking for positions in these exacting fields.

Lynley Watson (BSc (Hons) Microbiology, PhD Cell Biology)

Managing Director and founder of the company in 1987. Fifteen years expertise in recruitment. Fifteen years experience in Research & Development and fifteen years experience in General Management.

Gary Hamilton (NZCE (Civil), REAcap)

Gary has 25 years experience in survey, civil design, quantity surveying, field supervision, and project and operations management. Industry experience includes Heavy Civils, Infrastructure and Energy. Five years experience in recruitment.

Stephen Duxfield (Dip TT)

Stephen has manufacturing, technical management and staff training background. Over ten years in the recruitment industry specialising in mechanical, electrical engineering and technical service, operations and facilities management, process and plant engineering.

Nitika Sharma (BSc Chemistry)

Nitika has a technical background in Analytical Chemistry within pharmaceutical, food quality assurance and biosecurity laboratory environments. In addition, she had previous experience in the general recruitment sector prior to joining Scientific & Technical.

Lara Fleming (BSc Biology)

Lara has nine years experience in scientific customer services, science and technology product marketing and information technology sales.

Alex Jenner (B-TEC, H.Dip)

Alex had experience within the Telecoms and IT industry before moving into recruitment. In his early career he completed an engineering apprenticeship with Siemens and has specialised in technical sales and training.

Ann-Marie Goulstone (NZCS Paramedical, MBA)

Extensive experience in the scientific and health sectors encompassing technical, sales, marketing, business development and human resources roles. Twenty years experience in operations, administration and senior management positions with nine years specifically related to the recruitment industry.
